SNP And Scottish Greens Clash Over COP26 Deal

Disagreements inside the Scottish government continue, this time over the COP26 deal, as Nicola Sturgeon takes Boris Johnson’s position to praise the conference outcome while her partners, Scottish Greens, have labelled the Glasgow gathering as “shameful”.

Co-leader Patrick Harvie has criticised COP26 for not going far enough to tackle the green agenda.

SNP HQ have decided to PR manage the response by claiming the outcome was satisfactory but not what all countries expected.

With all other daily issues the Scottish administration is facing, it is not a good look for Sturgeon’s leadership if she cannot keep his power-sharing partners happy on key policy areas such as climate change.
