The last couple of days saw a busy period in Westminster as the Prime Minister conducted his cabinet reshuffle. The media focus was completely on Downing Street’s latest appointments.
However, one piece of news managed to avoid getting enough attention – Jess Brammar’s appointment as BBC’s new executive news editor.
Since then, Westminster insiders have accused the BBC of burying their controversial news by announcing it on reshuffle day.
Brammar has also received criticism for her anti-Brexit and pro-socialist views, at a time when the BBC is being challenged on its lack of impartiality.
