How The EU Failed NATO

Following the fall of Afghanistan, the focus has been on the role of the US on the global stage. As America is the biggest NATO contributor, they have appointed themselves the world police and other members simply follow their moves.

This of course created co-dependancy among the allies in Afghanistan as they all relied on the US to not let down the rest of the team.

However, it was not just the US betraying the western troops and Afghan allies. The EU members who did not contribute enough to NATO undermined the whole project.

The likes of the UK and Poland continue to just about hit their 2%. But Germany and Italy are on 1.4% and France still around 1.9%. The EU machine is directly undermining NATO. As some suggest, it is to prepare the support for the EU army as an alternative.
